Fees apply only to additions to the management licence of ionising radiation apparatus, sealed source devices and radioactive substances ('regulated material') or a change to a condition on the licence at the licensee's request. Variations to a management licence must be submitted using eConnect EPA .

Changes deemed to be minor variations to the licence do not attract a fee and include:

  1. changes to address details
  2. changes to contact details
  3. removing regulated material from the licence.

Minor variations must be submitted using eConnect EPA .

Applications sent to the Radiation Advisory Council (RAC) are where the EPA sends non-standard (complex) applications to the Radiation Advisory Council for its advice which incurs a higher fee. See Note 2 for more details.
